- Overexposure to the sun, without using any (or not enough) sunscreen. Make sure you apply at least 30 min before you go outside and re-apply every 2 hours.

- Cleaning your face with the wrong products. Your facial skin is much more sensitive than the skin on the rest of your body and it needs a milder cleanser. Don't scrub your face clean, but gently massage and make sure the ingredients are not damaging.

- Avoid too much stress. It can make your skin more sensitive and reactive to environmental conditions. Find ways to relax more like taking a walk or a massage. 

- Eating too much of the wrong foods. Eat a balanced diet and try to avoid sugars and processed foods as they will irritate your skin. Eating more vegetables, fruits and healthy fats can help your skin be nourished with the right nutrients.

- Avoid products that don’t fit with what your skin needs. Listen to your skin, what does it ask for? Is it dry or oily or do you have irritations? That is a sign that your skin is asking for your help.
